Zhongguancun Global High-level Think Tank Alliance (ZGCTA) and the Centre for Strategic Energy and Resources (CSER, Singapore) held an online exchange in the morning of December 9, 2025, which was chaired by Li Junkai, ZGCTA Secretary-General and Director of the International and Regional Cooperation Center of the Beijing Academy of Science and Technology (BJAST).

Li delivered a detailed introduction to ZGCTA’s birth, positioning, core resources and practical achievements in international cooperation. As innovative practices of CSER in energy and resources are highly compatible with ZGCTA’s international development, this exchange could be a starting point to precisely define cooperation directions in areas such as energy transition and efficient resource utilization, jointly exploring new paths for coordinated development in energy and resources, according to Li.

Dr Victor Nian, Founding Co-Chairman of CSER, shared his insights on CSER’s core functions, research advantages and practical experience in regional cooperation with respect to energy and resources. ZGCTA’s capabilities in global intellectual resource integration and its alignment with industrial development, in his view, could complement CSER’s research strengths. Therefore, CSER is willing to establish a long-term and stable cooperative partnership with ZGCTA so as to enhance collaboration and exchange in energy and resources aiming for mutually beneficial and win-win results.

Both sides exchanged views on their respective core advantages, interests and potential cooperation directions in the discussion, laying a solid foundation for further in-depth collaboration.
